The first of her lineage to make this journey was a Taoist practitioner, who pledged to serve the people of Houli, Taichung City through the art of traditional Chinese medicine and herbalism. This legacy has been carried forward through generations, with each era witnessing the emergence of Chinese medicine doctors, acupuncturists, herbalists, and Taoist monks dedicated to community service.

In the present day, Vera's father, Jin-Qing Chen, continues this tradition, practicing Chinese medicine and running a Chinese medicine pharmacy in Houli. Inspired by her family's enduring legacy and her personal experiences, Vera, alongside her husband Richard Lin, breathed life into G'Tara. Their shared belief in the power of merging the ancient wisdom of Chinese herbalism with the technological advancements of Western nutrition forms the cornerstone of G'Tara. The company is steadfastly committed to exploring the benefits of these two worlds and developing products that can be generously donated to those in need.
